In truth Spotlight is a school like many others, it has lessons, friendships and of course drama! But this school has one big difference!. This school is focused on the performing arts and the only lessons other than those on the brochure are maths, english and science - all of which are required by law.
Pupils live by their own rules, they don't have to go to lessons and the only reason they would be told off by a teacher is if they were disrupting someone's learning if that person wanted to learn or were endangering themselves or those around them. It's a bery laid back school, hoping that by being this way it will encourage well balanced, sensible young adults.
It's attitude towards punishment and behavior is believed to help the students build confidence which ultimately will lead to better performances. What they don't bargain for is the fierce competition that tears people apart, destroys friendships and leads to rivalries that can in turn leave people's confidence in tatters.
